TACKS is the brainchild of three friends who saw a need for an independent craft club which embraces all sorts of handicrafts. The first meeting was in November 2007 since when the club has gone from strength to strength and in the summer of 2010 three members were invited to join the management team to help shoulder the enormous amount of work which organising such a group involves.

The objective of the club is to promote and encourage textile arts, crafts, knitting, stitching and associated activities.

As well as arranging for outside speakers to visit our meetings, we have put together a programme which includes contributions from members, the idea being that we all have an opportunity to share our skills with other members.

Meetings take place on first Saturday of each month (excluding August) 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Meopham Village Hall, Wrotham Road, Meopham, Kent DA13 0AT.
